Flower Power

Flower Power will get your residents creative juices flowing. We arrange artificial flowers into mugs and vases. Just imagine the conversation flowing as we create, critique and encourage each other artistically. This activity is great for both the guys and gals.

Supplies: There is a supplies cost for this activity if you would like your residents to keep their works of art.

Movement & Music

This is such a fun activity for all! We stretch and move to different genres of music. Sound system provided.

Cooking Workshop

Imagine kneading bread dough while reminiscing about wonderful aromas of years gone by! Cooking club really ties into some emotional and muscle memories as we prepare different dishes including bread, cookies, muffins, pasta and more.

Supplies: There is an additional cost for food basics such as mixes, flour, etc. All cooking hardware is provided.

Putt Putt Golf

Whether your residents are retired golf pros or have never picked up a club our indoor golf is a LOT of fun and always creates great feelings and broad smiles.

Chair Yoga

This yoga provides easy to follow movement for all of your residents. We provide special attention to breathing while stretching. Acceptance and awareness are encouraged so that everyone is comfortable with their current abilities.

Name That Tune

Music is a powerful key that unlocks the door to positive memories and we go through that door with this Name That Tune activity! Patterned after the TV show of the same name we listen to short snippets of songs and try to guess the name and artist. Always a lively activity as we sing and dance along!

Sip and Paint

We are always pleasantly surprised at the artistic talents of so many residents when engaged in this convivial activity. Each resident is provided with a color picture as a guide for them to draw or paint their own color version of the scene. Juice is enjoyably sipped as focus gives way to fun conversations stimulated by the activity.

Supplies: Supplies including paper and paint are provided. Facility provides juice or drink.

Ice Cream Social

The sweet spot for activities in Memory Care is providing a positive environment and stimulating resident engagement. This activity delivers on this philosophy by being fun and tasty and has always been one of our most popular! Ice cream is served and enjoyed while we listen to music.

Supplies: Facility provides ice cream.

Minute to Win It!

A little competition brings out the best in your residents as they tackle fun and easy tasks while be timed.

Walking Club

Let’s go for a walk! Residents in wheel chairs, walkers and the walking able all love this activity as we go on adventures inside and (if allowed) outside your facility. Conversation and visual engagement ensure a good time will be had by all.

Tea Party

The Tea Party experience provides fertile ground for conversation and reminiscing as we snack on cookies/pastries while sipping a variety of teas from a variety of teapots and cups.

Supplies: There is an additional cost for pastries and tea. All serving hardware is provided.

Rocking Rolling Kickball

It is so important to participate in lively physical games to create a positive vibe in memory care environments. Rocking rolling kickball is just the thing to provide movement of the body and laughs for the heart and soul.:

Kites for Kids

Artistic and tactile skills come alive as residents build small tissue/balsa wood kites and decorate them as gifts for the local Children’s Hospital.

Supplies: All supplies included.

Mens Club

The guys feel right at home here tinkering on a carburetor or playing cards and telling a story about “the big one that got away!”

Supplies: Included. Facility provides drinks/snacks.

Cornhole

Moving and “doing” is great for residents and this activity provides a lot of indoor or outdoor fun! We provide lots of bean bags so everyone gets plenty of exercise swinging for the big points. Friendly competition is encouraged as we cheer on our favorites to the winners podium.:

Bowling

Bowling is such a great activity especially when accompanied by Oldies tunes and cheering! This activity easily sets up anywhere and all functioning levels can participate.

Pet Day

.Bow Wow

Petting an animals fur is known to calm ones nerves and cause the release of positive feeling endorphins. We facilitate engagement with service animals and their trainers.

Special Events

Our special activities include yearly events, one time events, national holidays, and fun national days such as National Pickle Day! These events are great for resident's families to attend and participate in. You may also create your own custom event.

Photo Booth

Exciting backdrops create photogenic scenes where residents are the stars! This is a super fun activity and the digital photos are easily shared with family members.

County Fair

The County Fair is one of our all time favorite yearly events! This activity evokes fun memories for everyone as they eat fair snacks and enjoy fair type games.

Supplies: There is a cost for prizes. Facility provides food/drink.

Fashion Boutique

This one is for the ladies! Just picture everyone styling in fur coats, hats, purses and jewelry.

Olympics

Everyone wins a gold medal as we participate in our own exciting version of the Senior Olympics! Events include opening ceremony sing a long, torch ceremony, races for everyone’s abilities, javelin toss, balloon and beanbag relay, ribbon twirl and more!
